Bike Mechanic Youth Program | January 4, 2025 – March 8, 2025
Bike mechanic work and mentorship program for youth of all genders, age 14-18. The student/teacher ratio will be 1:5. Hands-on experience on bicycles the participants will keep at the end of the program. Students will learn marketable skills: build resumes, explore potential earning avenues. The program offers both positive professional experiences as well as references as they consider postsecondary college and career options.
The participants will gain:
- New professional skills
- Mentorship support throughout the program (after the program is finished, participants can continue coming to Yellow Bike during our Community Workshops hours)
- Free bicycle (a bicycle they will repair and keep)

- 10-week program, January 4, 2024 – March 8, 2025, Saturdays 1 PM – 5 PM
- For teens age 14-18
- $450 per person
- Maximum 5 students
