To individuals in difficult life transitions. We identify needs via referrals from non-profits and other community partners, including but not limited to human services, schools and colleges, religious institutions, and mentoring programs.

Please note that we are only able to receive a limited number of requests per month. If the submission form says: “Submissions for this form are now closed”, it means that we are not able to receive more requests at this time and you need to check the form next month.

Please contact one of our social services partners to make a referral for you.

If I don’t have a caseworker can I still receive a free bike?

Yes, please send us an email describing your situation to and we will choose the right program for you.

I want to help with the ‘get a free bike’ program, but I don’t know how.

You can help by building bikes for this and other donation programs. No prior bicycle repair experience is necessary. Simply show up at an OpenVolunteer, or WTF (Women/Trans/Femme) Workshop (if applicable) and talk with a shop host to get started. Check our Calendar for dates and availability.
