We’re adding a new Traffic Safety Class to our offerings. We have 10 free spots available. 

This class is dedicated to traffic safety and can be counted toward your Earn a Bike hours (2 hours: 1 hour of theory and 1 hour of practice).

n this class, you’ll receive a traffic safety ABC for cyclists, led by a League of American Bicyclist certified instructor.

After completing the class, you’ll receive free:

• Helmet
• Bike light set (USB rechargeable)
• Bike Spoke Reflector Kit
• Reflective bike safety vest
• Reflective stickers for bicycle frames and helmets
• Traffic safety pamphlet (EN/ES)

Please note: The class requires signing an attendance list (after the class), participating in a group photo, and signing a media release. The program is supported by TxDOT, and we need these for reporting purposes.

What the class covers: A one-hour lesson plan on traffic safety, including bike anatomy and adjustment, maintenance, road rules, traffic law principles, bike handling skills, infrastructure navigation, and hazard awareness. The class includes hands-on demonstrations and concludes with distributing safety equipment (vests, reflectors, lights, helmets) to participants.

Class hours count toward Earn a Bike.
