Whether you’re six years old or 65, the Austin Yellow Bike Project wants to see you on a bicycle. We’ve been working since 1997 to put more bicycles on the streets of Austin and Central Texas, and now we are offering a variety of professionally instructed courses for adults.

Our courses are offered throughout the year, ranging from bicycle commuting and fixing flat tires to tasks like rebuilding your drive train or truing your wheels. Please stay tuned by liking us on Facebook! All of our classes are free for City of Austin employees, and $25 for the general public. To register for the classes, click the links below to send us an email. City of Austin employees must present COA identification card at time of class.

Spring is here! Sign up for our April Class: A Nerd’s Eye View with Drew

“Join volunteer Coordinator Drew for a nerd’s-eye-view of bicycle maintenance. We’ll demystify the machine by looking at it as a collection of simple parts governed by simple concepts and focus on building mechanical competence through learning to ask the right questions. All levels of experience welcomed!”
