Education Program 2016 flyerWhether you’re six years old or 65, the Austin Yellow Bike Project wants to see you on a bicycle. We’ve been working since 1997 to put more bicycles on the streets of Austin and Central Texas, and now we are offering a variety of professionally instructed courses for adults and children. We offer after-school programs that combine lessons on safe riding principals, basic bicycle mechanics, and all the skills necessary to make cycling a lifelong love.

We plan to offer adult courses quarterly throughout the year, ranging from bicycle commuting and fixing flat tires to more complex tasks like rebuilding your drive train or truing your wobbly wheels. Please stay tuned by liking us on Facebook and sign up to hear more about our programs.

Our Mission: To promote bicycling as a healthy, affordable, environment-friendly form of transportation in Austin by offering educational, recreational, and career-building opportunities for all ages — with an emphasis on underserved communities.
